This Privacy Policy explains what information Genesiverse (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects online and in-game, why we collect it, and the choices we offer. It covers services under our control, including genesiverse.com and related subdomains, our Minecraft network (Club, LaserTag, and other instances), APIs, dashboards, and related apps (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you consent to this Policy and to processing described here. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Our Terms of Service also apply.
1) Information we collect
a) Account and identity
- Discord profile data when you sign in with Discord (such as Discord user ID, username, avatar, and email if Discord provides it);
- Minecraft username and UUID when you link or join our servers;
- Profile settings you choose (status, friends preferences, inventory visibility, etc.).
b) Gameplay and social activity
- Friend lists, party membership, invites, trades, arcade invites, teleports, and similar social actions;
- Minigame and match data (joins, queues, outcomes, LaserTag allocations, economy balances such as Gems/tickets, vault items);
- Chat and commands where moderation or anti-abuse systems retain logs;
- Builds, furniture placements, and other User Content you create on our servers.
c) Technical and device data
- IP address, user agent, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP;
- Cookies and similar technologies for sessions, security, and preferences;
- Server logs, crash/error reports, and anti-cheat or anti-abuse signals;
- Device or browser identifiers needed to keep you signed in.
d) Payments
If you buy Virtual Goods, payment details are typically processed by a third-party merchant of record. We may receive confirmation of purchase, order IDs, and fulfillment status—not your full card number.
2) How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services;
- Authenticate you, link Discord and Minecraft identities, and sync social features;
- Run matchmaking, economies, inventories, and anti-abuse/moderation;
- Communicate about Account, security, or Service changes;
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms;
- Analyze aggregated usage to improve design and performance.
3) How we share information
We share information only as needed:
- With your consent — for example when you use a feature that requires it;
- Service providers — hosting, databases, Redis, Discord OAuth, Cloudflare, analytics, or payment processors under appropriate safeguards;
- Legal reasons — if we believe disclosure is required by law, or to protect users, the public, or Genesiverse from fraud or harm;
- Business transfers — if we merge, sell, or reorganize assets, user data may transfer as part of that deal, with notice where reasonable;
- Aggregated / de-identified data — for trends and operations that do not reasonably identify you.
Public areas (chat, profiles others can view, market listings) may be visible to other users. Choose carefully what you share.
4) Third parties
This Policy does not control third-party services such as Discord, Microsoft/Minecraft, Mojang, Cloudflare, or payment providers. Their policies apply when you use those services. Examples you may encounter:
- Discord — authentication and identity;
- Microsoft / Mojang — Minecraft account and multiplayer;
- Cloudflare — CDN, security, and network services;
- Payment / store partners — if you purchase Virtual Goods.
5) Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies for login sessions and security. We may use optional cookies or similar tools for preferences and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser; disabling essential cookies may break sign-in.
6) Your choices and rights
- Update profile and privacy-related settings in-game or on the website where available;
- Request access, correction, or deletion of Account data by emailing [email protected] (we may verify identity and retain some data where required for security, fraud prevention, or law);
- Unlink or stop using Discord / Minecraft access as supported by those platforms;
- Depending on where you live (for example EEA/UK or certain US states), you may have additional rights; contact us to exercise them.
7) Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact [email protected] and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Parents and guardians should supervise minors’ use of Minecraft and Discord according to those platforms’ age rules.
8) Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information (including encrypted storage where applicable and access controls). No system is perfectly secure; you can help by using unique passwords and protecting your Discord and Microsoft accounts.
9) International processing
Our infrastructure may be located in the United States and other regions. If you use the Services from elsewhere, you understand your information may be processed in the United States (and other countries where we or our providers operate), which may have different data-protection laws than your home country.
10) Retention
We keep information as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Moderation logs and security records may be kept longer when reasonably necessary.
11) Changes
We may update this Policy by posting a new version on this page. Material changes will be highlighted by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
